Customising your mail programme
to use your new domain.

It is important that you adjust your mail programme's settings to reflect your newly registered domain. The reasons:

• Your organisation's name and website is then promoted by every e-mail you send.
• Any mail recipient entering your e-mail address in their address book will save the correct details.
• Your domain name is truly portable. You are now free to change ISP without losing contact with any customers.
  Remember you must e-mail us to alter your mail re-direction.
• If your ISP appends advertising copy to your e-mails then consider our SMTP relaying service.

Methods for configuring some popular mail programmes are given below:

• Forté Agent 1.x.

Choose: Options > User and System Profile > User Tab
Then choose: E-mail Address
Type your new e-mail address in this box.
For example: rogert@tv-science.co.uk
Click OK.

• MS Outlook Express 5/6.

Choose: Tools > Accounts > Mail Tab
Select the Appropriate Account
Then Choose: Properties > General Tab > E-Mail Address
Type your new e-mail address in this box.
For example: "Roger Tethis" <rogert@tv-science.co.uk>

• MS Outlook Express 4.

Choose: Tools > Accounts > Mail Tab
Select the Appropriate Account
Then Choose: Properties > E-Mail Address
Type your new e-mail address in this box.
For example: rogert@tv-science.co.uk

• AOL Users.

You cannot customise AOL's interface in this way.
We recommend renting a POP3 mailbox (see our services page), fetching mail using one of the readers listed here.

• Eudora Users.

Choose: Tools > Options
Choose: Personalities
In: Return Address type your new e-mail address. For example: "Roger Tethis" <rogert@tv-science.co.uk>
Click OK.

• For Communicator (Netscape) Users:

Choose: Edit > Preferences
In: Mail and Groups select Identity
In: E-Mail Address type your new e-mail address. For example: "Roger Tethis" <rogert@tv-science.co.uk>
Click OK.

• Other Mail Programmes.

Somewhere in the setup there will be a box or boxes containing something like:
"Roger Tethis" <rogertet789@yourisp.com>
You should change this to:
"Roger Tethis" <rogert@tv-science.co.uk>.

Be sure to test mail is still successfully delivered after changing these options.
